Antix Ransomware Description

The Antix ransomware is a typical malware sample that is still of unknown origin as the security experts have not discovered of which family it originates. The virus behavior is typical – it encypts target user data and blackmails the users into paying a ransom fee to restore their files. The compromised data is renamed using the .??? extension.

After the encryption module has finished processing the files it locks the screen and displays the following message:

Failure to pay by March 1st 2017 will result in loss of ALL data and your passwords and info will be leaked to the public.
