HavocCrypt Ransomware is a new malware threat developed by a programmer known as Royal Binarys. It is of unknown origin and we assume that this is an independent creation.
The virus follows the usual infection patterns by targeting certain file types and encrypts them using the AES cipher. The victims are then extorted to pay a ransom fee to restore their files.
We do not have the full list of user data that is affected by the encryption module. However we assume that it includes all documents, photos, audio, videos, backup images, databases, configuration files and etc.
